as posted by the channelHealth Secretary, Stephen Barclay, claimed that it would cost £28 billion to give public sector workers an inflation linked pay rise, and that the government cannot afford to do so. In actual fact, neither is true. The government would need far less than it's claiming in order to meet avoid real terms pay cuts for public sector workers, and the government have plenty of ways of being able to meet that much smaller cost.
