as posted by the channelIn 2019, the Conservatives made a manifesto aim to achieve free trade agreements with 80% of UK trade. This has not been met but, when you consider what has happened to the post-brexit trade deals we do have, this may be no bad thing. All of our free trade agreements are on the same or worse terms, as compared to EU equivalents. So, if we can't actually improve on EU trade deals, why not take longer and at least not get more on worse terms.
