14:31Now PlayingThere was another confected anti-Labour row this weekend as people began claiming that Labour's David Lammy had said that they would not reverse the erosion of people's rights to protest. Needless to say, he said nothing of the sort. In fact, Labour specifically stated that the police were wrong to arrest the protesters on Saturday. But the row continued, so now Labour have made a statement explicitly backing the right to protest and saying that the Police should not have these latest powers. Won't be enough for them, mind, because they want the Tories to win.
