as posted by the channelIn trying to deflect from the £6.4 billion overspend on asylum announced by Rachel Reeves yesterday, former Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt, claimed the money wouldn't be needed because the asylum seekers would be in Rwanda if they'd won the election. But what he's claiming here is that the government would have sent 120k asylum seekers to Rwanda, and pretty much this month, to avoid those costs. Nobody would believe that.
