11:08Now PlayingThe Information Commissioner is investigating Reform UK for the unauthorised collection of browing data from people using their website. Reform UK had, for two years, reportedly been using tracking software which harvested the personal data without users' consent. This was certainly used for targeted marketing, but could also have been used for political purposes, though Reform UK deny this was the case.
But it highlights the fact that our current enforcement is too weak to prevent this happening, so the government must take action to make sure behaviour like this isn't worth it in future.
