People are worried that Labour's first budget is sounding like more austerity. Hardly suprising given that senior Labour figures are talking about it being a painful budget. However, the government have already committed to significant spending increases, and there's talk of more taxes rises on the wealthy to pay for it. So there's no reason why this budget should represent more austerity at all.
