Labour's change in trans position is not just terrible policy but terrible politics. They have given Kemi Badenoch a new lease of life, and handed Nigel Farage an easy attack line on the European Court of Human Rights in the next few years. It will also set the leadership against both the membership and wider parliamentary party. It is an incompetent application of an otherwise sensible strategy, and it will invite problems to come.
