店主黄联成（Lian Seng Wee）是一名有着三十年法餐与日餐烹饪经验的老厨师。十多年前，他在朋友的启发下到澳大利亚闯荡，并在墨尔本开了自己的第一家餐馆—仁道素食馆。
从几十年和各种肉类与海鲜打交道到完全采用蔬果与豆制品食材，黄联成坦承这一烹饪理念的转变来源于自己从大快朵颐的肉食者转变成片肉不沾的素食者的经历，他希望可以通过自己的厨艺让更多的人爱上素食。
“我们用的素料（素虾仁、素猪排）主要是给那些还没有吃素的人，让他们比较容易接受，然后慢慢变成素食者。”
