as posted by the channelOver Winter it is no surprise to see a few extra woolly jumpers being worn on the streets. But in tropical north Queensland there’s a car sporting a woolly jumper! Why? The answer has to do with the devastating monsoon rain event and subsequent flooding that struck Townsville in February this year.
The artist behind the crochet car - Fiona Banner, explains how knitting is helping community recovery after the natural disaster.
