4:41Now PlayingTwo people have been killed in a huge bushfire that has ravaged a large part of Kangaroo Island, police have confirmed.
Police said the people died on the Playford Highway in the centre of the island, and that one of the victims was found inside a car.
While damage assessment is continuing, the ABC has confirmed several houses have been lost and there has been significant damage to the exclusive Southern Ocean Lodge hotel.
