This weekend marks the 50th anniversary of the Tiwi Islands Football Grand Final.
Australian Rules Football on the Tiwi Islands has long been an obsession, and the islands are said to have Australia's highest participation rate.
The Imalu Tigers are the Tiwi Islands' most successful club.
Since at least the 1940s AFL has been played on Bathurst and Melville Island, with regular games on Sunday afternoons.
