In a world where selfies and social media rule, Port Lincoln artist Emma Fuss takes a look at the question of whether a photograph or a painted portrait is a better representation of a person.
She won an award for her portrait of friend Sally McIntyre, and she’s now painted Sally’s husband Johnny and the results surprised her.
The painting was to be part of an exhibition of 25 local portraits by local people featured in Port Lincoln’s 2020 SALT Festival. But the exhibition and festival were canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions.
