The remote community of Ewingar was one of the first to lose lives, homes, and property to monster blazes of the bushfire season of 2019.
They soon realised however that with fires burning across the state it could be a while for help to reach them so they decided to take recovery into their own hands.
In a massive effort, they raised $75,000 but then came the big challenge of deciding who gets the money.
