At 19, Nick Trethowan was given a 10 per cent chance of surviving a giant osteogenic sarcoma tumour in his femur.

Amputating his leg from the hip saved his life but ended his dreams of taking over the family farm, or so he thought.

Today, with some simple machinery adaptations, this Kojonup farmer simply gets on with everyday life.
