Australia loves a big icon - we've got the Big Banana, the Big Prawn, Big Sheep, Big Guitar.
There's quite a few of them - but perhaps the most remote is The Big Galah, at the halfway across Australia mark, in Kimba, South Australia.
And how it got there is quite an Aussie story.
We love a bit of a laugh and this remote rural town has its fair share of ‘cockies’ but none bigger than - Australia's Biggest Galah.
The Venning family from Kimba built it to encourage travellers to flock to their gem shop.
Dianne Venning ran the shop, which evolved into a fast food stop as well, for 30 years before the family sold the galah and shop three years ago.
The galah is about to undergo a facelift to brighten its fading pink paint.
