as posted by the channelWhen the only pub in the tiny Western Australian Wheatbelt township of Wubin called last drinks eight months ago, the community was crushed. Locals knew their pub was about so much more than beer. It was the heart of the community; a place isolated farmers could meet to share a yarn and connect. So, when the owners struggled to find staff after COVID travel bans restricted the backpackers who worked most shifts, they felt terrible about shutting shop. So much so that they decided to re-prioritise, downsize and, with the help of the community, once again open their doors.
