YouTube Description
as posted by the channelStudents from the Ngaanyatjarra Lands School in WA's Western Desert have been introduced to Australia’s first culturally informed yoga education program, to help with emotional regulation and improve student outcomes. The program was codesigned with NG Lands School students and educators, and not-for-profit organisation Yogazeit.
The yoga poses were given culturally relevant names like fire, echidna and tree branch, written in English and Ngaanyatjarra language, and the illustrations for the poses were hand drawn by student Charlotte Golding. Teachers say the program is improving student engagement and wellbeing.
