YouTube Description
as posted by the channelPhil Dobson has loved machines all his life. He got a welder for his 13th birthday and by 16 he’d used it to pay for a block of land. He established an agricultural machinery business before he was 25. But it was a quarter of a century later, on business in the USA , that he would fall head over heels in love with a 1948 Ford F1 pickup truck. His selfless wife, Judith, insisted he go back and buy it from the Idaho farm sale they’d been to, or forever regret it. He jokes that she’s been competing with the vehicle for his affection ever since. He got it back to Tasmania and lovingly restored it over 14 years. The paint is original and he doesn’t mind getting it dirty on the farm. Phil says it is enshrined in the family trust that his little Ford truck will never be sold.
