YouTube Description
as posted by the channelDo you know that Chinese stores in the 19th century were literally one-stop shops? You could get travel tickets, translation services, and even gamble there. Early Chinese migrants often hung out in the stores, and it became a place with a strong sense of community.
Later, the sense of community and belonging extended to the Aussie rules field. For example, the earliest recorded football match in Chinese Australian history dates back 150 years.
Today, former player of Young Chinese League Harold Chin Quan recaps his years on the field with fondness.
