Gordon Parker is the founder of the Black Dog Institute, which conducts research into mood disorders and works to remove the social stigmas around mental illness.
For the past few years, he's been looking closely at the phenomenon of 'burnout', where people experience constant exhaustion, emotional numbness and confusion at home or in the workplace.
Gordon Parker's decades in clinical work have also given him insight into depression and bipolar disorder, and the importance of a proper diagnosis.
