What some people might call noise, Richie calls "weird and wonderful".
It's a passion that has run as a thread right through his life, from his first gig at the iconic Festival Hall, and his family's experience of the West Gate Bridge collapse to a short-lived career as a prison officer.
Eventually, Richie opened his own record store, where he grabs curious strangers firmly by the ears.
