Yeah that’s not always the case, and given it’s Christmas time, let’s use the humble cherry to explain why.
Like with most crops, cherries are particularly vulnerable to weather. It’s obvious with things like hail, it’s going to knock the fruit off the tree, or bruise it up.
It’s less obvious with rain but rain at the wrong time is almost worse in many ways than getting no rain in the first place.
