'Squatter' Coffey clocks off after 50 years as a Mallee grain handler 🌾🐴🤠| ABC Australia

Len 'Squatter' Coffey is a bit of a legend around the Mallee — in the North Western part of Victoria, Australia — and has even been immortalised on his own silo, depicted in a mural with his beloved horse Morton. Squatter is joined by his 'mates', Boots, Butch and 12 other horses, on a 100-acre property, in the Victorian Mallee town of Beulah, where 'Squatter' shares his love of horses by taking people on bush trail rides. Squatter has worked at every silo in Victoria's north west, in more than 50 years on the job, shifting countless tonnes of golden Mallee grain. He says retirement will give him more time to take people on horseback adventures around the Mallee and working on his farm.
