The Garingbal Ghungulu woman runs an on-country photography program, where she brings women and their children to “matriarchal” sites in central Queensland’s Carnarvon Gorge. Ms Mills aims to capture the “visible and invisible umbilical cord of generational connections to country, mob, and culture that happens between mother and child”.
From sunrise to sunset and creek to bush, both families who participated say it was a bonding experience like no other.
