Douglas Stewart danced with a Romanian ballet company for four and a half years before he had to return to Australia at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Moving to the small mining town of Blackwater, in rural Queensland, to live with his parents, he soon found himself teaching ballet at a local dance school.
He is now helping expand the school's dance classes, and is determined to make ballet as popular as sport in rural Australia.
