as posted by the channel

Before the Anzac biscuit, soldiers ate a tile so hard you could write on it.

Anzac biscuits weren’t always the sticky sweet treat we bake and eat today, initially Anzac soldiers ate durable but bland ‘Anzac tiles’.

Anzac tiles, also known as army biscuits, ship's biscuits, or hard tack, were homemade and sent to soldiers during World War I. The biscuits had a long shelf life, were very hard and soon used creatively to solve the shortage of stationary.

No matter where you are in the world, let us come together to commemorate Anzac Day 2024. #AnzacDay #AnzacDay2024
