It's a birdwatcher's paradise, a 10-acre plot of tranquillity that Kenn Parker calls home.
In this isolated patch of rainforest on the doorstep of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area in northern Queensland, he lives a quiet life observing the natural world around him.
After Cyclone Yasi devastated his rainforest property in 2011, Kenn harvested the fallen timber to construct a home.
Every day visiting cassowaries make their way through the property as they move amongst the rainforest.
Since 2000 he has recorded the behaviours and movements of the birds.
