Migrant swimming classes - After a spate of drownings among the Indian migrant community, Dr Harpreet Kandra Singh helped to set up swimming classes for migrant adults. Someone who has been directly affected is Sandeep Kaur, whose husband and father-in-law drowned while saving her daughter in a pool accident. We see how the Sikh community has put their arms around Sandeep and how the swimming lessons are empowering migrants and keeping them safe in the water.
Hiking Tribe - Pakistani migrants Hassan and Najam set up The Hiking Tribe as a way for new migrants to make friends, stay fit and explore the beauty of their new home. The group meets once a week to tackle various walking trails and then catch up for coffee afterwards. Hiking Tribe consists of migrants from all backgrounds, helping them to find advice for settling into life in Australia, make new friends and stay fit along the way.
