Nearly 10% of adults in the U.S. smoked cigarettes in 2024, the report found. This is down from about 11% in 2023, CDC data shows.
Meanwhile, the report found that 7% of American adults used e-cigarettes, or vapes, in 2024. This is a slight uptick from 6.5% of adults reporting e-cigarette use in 2023, CDC data shows.
