2:12:14Now PlayingThis is the video of the debate “Secular Law or Sharia Law: Which is Fairer?“ between Abdullah al Andalusi and President of the Atheist Foundation of Australia, Michael Boyd.
The event was originally hosted by the IAFUNSW [Islamic Awareness Forum of the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia)] on 18th September 2015.
The event featured a fascinating debate comparing Secularism with Islamic law (Sharia) and Islamic government, which ended in an unusual agreement between me and the Atheist speaker, on the desirability of unity and Caliphate for the Muslim world as a means to achieve peace (where secularism is currently failing). Someone from the audience rounded off the debate with an interesting question “what is the purpose of secularism?”, which led to an appropriate ending.
An amazing must watch video with an interesting twist at the end.
