AJ Baime - The Adam Carolla Show

As the show opens up, the guys talk about the ‘Hamilton’ phenomenon. They also talk about diversity in Southern California, the problems with living in the past and requesting time machine apologies, and more hypocrisy from our leaders when it comes to enforcing laws. Adam then tells Bryan and Gina about an MMA fight he was watching, and the half wraps up with a round of the Rotten Tomatoes Game.

Adam welcomes AJ Baime to the show next, and Adam asks him about his process for writing such entertaining books. AJ then talks about the success of the film ‘Ford V. Ferrari’, and they go on to chat about his latest book, ‘Dewey Defeats Truman’. Other topics of conversation include tearing down statues, actors who are funnier/less funny than you think, and the brilliance of Bryan Cranston. Later, Gina reads news stories about Kanye’s Tweet about running for President, the Bubonic Plague returning to China, and a new tell-all book coming from President Trump’s niece. AJ also explains how this year’s election is remarkably similar to the Truman vs. Dewey election cycle, and the show wraps up with Adam and AJ discussing vices as they apply to getting your work done.
