1:05Now PlayingCanadian activist and student organizer Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois just won the Governor General’s Literary Award along with $25,000 for his book "Tenir Tête." On the talk show "Tout Le Monde en Parle," he announced that he will donate the money to Coule Pas Chez Nous – a group fighting against the TransCanada Energy East Pipeline. The $12 billion pipeline would be Canada’s plan B to the Keystone XL and is being met with contention and strife, particularly from the First Nations communities. While on the talk show, Nadeau-Dubois dared people to double his donation. They hit $50,000 within minutes. Now, 24 hours later, it stands at close to $230,000 and is continuing to rise.
