Shaimaa al Sabbagh, an activist with the Socialist Popular Alliance, was shot dead during a downtown Cairo march on January 24, held on the fourth anniversary of the 2011 Egyptian uprising. Medical examiner Abdel Hamid said, “She was too skinny...only four or five shots managed to penetrate her body to the heart.”
