On April 7, 2015, Mokhtar Alkhanshali, founder of the specialty coffee company Mocha Mill, became the first Yemeni American to escape from Yemen after 3 weeks of aerial bombardment from a Saudi Arabia-led coalition. The U.S. government has refused to evacuate its citizens, but Alkhanshali was able to escape by boat. AJ+'s Dena Takruri sat down with the 26-year-old coffee entrepreneur to discuss what he calls the abandonment of Yemeni Americans.
