YouTube Description

as posted by the channel

The drone operators of the #NoDAPL camp fly their drones above pipeline construction sites and law enforcement to inform protestors of activity in areas they cannot otherwise see. Shiyé Bidzííl and Myron Dewey view their role as part surveillance, part documentation and part protection. Despite stating that they comply with FAA regulations, they risk getting their drones shot down. Myron is being charged with “stalking.” The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration recently issued a temporary flight restriction over the Standing Rock pipeline protest, banning all aircraft except those flown for and by law enforcement. The ban was expected to be lifted Dec. 2. This is the second such restriction put on civilian drone operators.
