Every year, thousands of Central American kids are forced to leave everything behind and seek safety in the U.S. Like 16-year-old Omar, he joined the migrant caravan from Honduras, and embarked on the 2,000-mile journey to the U.S.
These unaccompanied minors carry just a few personal belongings, a little money, and one big hope: to get asylum in the U.S. AJ+ went to Tijuana to hear some of their stories.
