as posted by the channel

This civil rights activist is sounding the alarm about the rise of hate crimes against Asian Americans since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

At least 2,808 accounts of hate crimes were recorded between March and Dec. 2020, and in New York City, hate crimes against Asian Americans surged by 1,900%.

Celebrities like Daniel Kim and Olivia Munn are also sharing their own stories and asking for unity.

“It is the betrayal of the very fundamental tenet of what it means to be an American if people stay silent in the face of hate,”@amandangocnguyen, founder and CEO of Rise, told AJ+.
