The next day, over 150 protesters showed up outside his door chanting, “Black lives matter!” Police later arrested Edward Mathews for bias intimidation, harassment and trespassing.
Mathews says he was arguing over a housing dispute. Though he apologized for acting out, Mathews claims his comments were not racist.
