Doctors at al-Nasr Children’s Hospital said they warned Israeli officers that there were children and babies who could not be moved without respirators, before they were forced out of the facility.
Israel’s attacks have almost totally wiped out the health system in occupied Gaza, with over two thirds of all hospitals now out of service. The collapse means health officials cannot even accurately count the dead. Over 15,000 Palestinians have been killed and almost 7,000 are believed missing under the rubble.
The WHO warns the collapse of health services means more Palestinians will likely be killed by disease in coming months than by Israel’s bombing.
