Get out! “Well I need to watch this or read that to stay up to date and be able to pray.” You expose your own lack of prayer. Elisha didn’t know what was happening in the inner chambers of the king because he watched the evening news (2 Kings 6)… He wasn’t in the spin room, he was in the prayer room!

The spirit of anti-Christ is a political spirit and it will blind the minds of everyone who caters to it. It places the Church in factions and pits us against each other, ruining our witness for stances that have no chapter or verse attached to them. There was a time for political activism and that time may come again but 2018 is not that time.

The Bible says that wine is a mocker (Proverbs 20) meaning it mocks and takes advantage of those who think they can control it. If wine is a mocker, then politics in 2018 is a satirist that will turn every believer into a caricature of themselves.

“Are we supposed to be involved in politics?” Yes! When it’s time to pray and eventually when it’s time to vote. Until then all your political debates wont amount to a pile of ash when compared to the eternal good that could have come from spending that time and effort being salt and light, teaching men and women to hear the voice of God. Get back to the Gospel of God. (1 Peter 4:17)

You don’t need to defend the President in 2018. You don’t need to attack the President in 2018. You must however pray for the President in 2018. If everyone who lifted their voice in support or opposition began to lift it in soul-hot intercession, we’d have a nation-wide revival within a week. (1 Timothy 2:2)

Unfollow the partisan hacks on social media and stop watching the fake news and the real news on television (2 Timothy 2:23). Find Him whom your soul longeth after and you’ll find the answer to every national woe (Matthew 6:33).
