JuneShine asks: “Why do we know so much about the food we eat, but not the alcohol we drink?”
Survivors United asks: “Why does JuneShine know so much about booch but nothing about accountability?”
They brew alcohol that they claim we can all feel better about drinking — supposedly without “sketchy” ingredients. It’s hard to believe they truly care what’s going into their products if they don’t care who their product ambassadors are. When called out on their social media by survivors, JuneShine deleted comments and turned them off. They are sending a message that they want to silence survivors.
JuneShine — REALITY CHECK:
OUR DEMAND: Survivors United formally requests JuneShine remove Diplo's flavor from all points-of-sale and strip him of his ambassador status by end-of-day Tuesday 10/18/2022. We also encourage JuneShine to apologize publicly to their survivor customers who were triggered by their product launch and advertising campaign, as well as their choice to delete concerned comments and silence survivors instead of listening.
Diplo was announced as an ambassador in May 2022, despite literal years of sexual misconduct allegations.
The Los Angeles city attorney is reviewing sexual misconduct allegations that stem from an October 2020 police report. Singer Azealia Banks also alleges she “used to have sex with Diplo” when she was 17 and accused him of constantly “preying on young ethnic girls."
He should NOT be a cutely named hippy dippy flavor of any type of alcohol. JuneShine, survivors are your customers too.
