Vivek Ramaswamy is proposing a policy that would remove the citizenship of children whose parents came to the United States illegal. His argument and legal standing for this is absurd. He claims illegal immigrants are not subject to US law, but he is wrong. They are nothing like diplomats, which he uses as a main part of his argument. The 14th amendment actually does establish children who are born in the US to become citizens, not the opposite as Ramaswamy claims.
