First, JP explains his approach to preaching and the rigorous process he goes through to make sure that the sermons he prepares are the best that they can be. Preaching in Waco presents its own challenges and opportunities, since there are many college students who live there. JP talks about how he approaches speaking to young adult congregations. Then, what is sin and how should we think about it? We dive into the intricacies of sin and how our fleshly desires can rule over us if we're not staying aware. We also discuss the idea of authenticity – both good and bad – and how Christians need to submit both authenticity and autonomy in order for them to be virtues. Near the end of the interview, JP also poses a pointed question: What do you think happens after you die? And if you think you're going to heaven, how sure are you?
