John W. Donohue, S.J., served on the staff of America for over 30 years. His area expertise was Catholic and public school education, topics on which he has written widely. Over the course of his career at America, Fr. Donohue covered a wide expanse of topics, ranging from the lives of the saints to the ethics of stem cell research. Fr. Donohue retired from America in June 2006. In this short video, he remembers an essay he wrote for the magazine.
