Xavier Bonilla holds a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and has been a licensed clinician doing mental health work for 15 years. He has worked in various inpatient and outpatient settings and has numerous experiences working with individuals that have serious mental illness. He is a former seminarian and is also a podcaster. Volofu (pronounced vo-LOW-foo; meaning wolf 🐺 in IsiXhosa) is the moniker of South African-American Jason Woolf, the founder of Side by Side Social Ventures, which is creating a bridge for community-based tourism and civil discourse across sides of the world’s foremost segregated and unequal society: Cape Town, South Africa.

Jason speaks IsiXhosa semi-fluently and lives in Langa township (a ghetto of 100k+ black and nearly 0 white residents) holding conversations and driving work that enables development and improves race relations in South Africa at a time when its becoming more unequal and polarized.

Jason has over a decade of involvement in grassroots developmental work in townships. He graduated from New York University in 2016 with a self-designed, liberal arts based bachelor's degree he entitled "Social Entrepreneurship and Cultural Revitalisation."
