Yellow Seeds Magazine is excited to debut our three-phase experimental project, "The Grounded Letters," where two people engage in civil debate by exchanging essays for the public. These essays will express their differing perspectives on a cultural topic. We're premiering with Xavier Bonilla and Ximena Del Cerro on the terms "Latinx and Latino."
These words "Latinx and Latino" continue to be a point of contention in the Latino/Latinx community. Xavier and Ximena are offering their candid opinions and experiences as Latino/Latinx to insightfully share "Why Latino is Already Inclusive?" and "Why Is "Latinx" Inclusive, Necessary and Unifying?"
Xavier and Ximena are thoughtful individuals who have a clear care about their community and the value of historical preservation, progression, and inclusivity but see two different routes to attaining them.

BIOS:
[Ximena Del Cerro] is a journalist based in Brooklyn. She writes about social issues, the environment, green energy, politics, and culture. Her work with various social impact projects has landed her in different parts of Mexico, showing her the potential of the country. Ximena is dedicated to contributing to the public conscience about the events and matters that have an impact on society.
[Xavier Bonilla] holds a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and has been a licensed clinician doing mental health work for 15 years. He has worked in various inpatient and outpatient settings and has numerous experiences working with individuals that have serious mental illness.
He is a former seminarian and is also a podcaster. His podcast, Converging Dialogues, is a podcast designed to have honest and authentic conversations with a diversity of thought and opinions from a widerange of guests.
