Michael Paine was an engineer for Bell Helicopter in Texas during the early 1960s. A Quaker and pacifist, his beliefs led him to associate with left-wing political groups. Paine's connection to the JFK assassination comes through his wife, Ruth Paine, a friend of Lee Harvey Oswald's wife, Marina. In a twist of fate, Ruth had helped Marina find a place to stay in Texas, inviting her and her two children into her Irving home, which Oswald visited several times.
