President Trump ordered a pause on military aid to Ukraine shortly before a July 25 phone call with the country’s leader where the U.S. president asked the Ukrainian president to look into his 2020 presidential rival, Joe Biden. The phone call and its contents were behind the House launching an official impeachment inquiry against Trump.
