1:37:14Now PlayingPresident Donald Trump defended his decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria, saying "there are times to fight and there are times not to fight. There are times to be smart." Speaking during a cabinet meeting at the White House on Oct. 21, Trump seemed to question the United States' responsibility to the Kurds, specifying "we helped them, don't forget, we helped the Kurds. Everyone said the Kurds helped us. That's true. But we helped the Kurds. They're no angels...we never gave the Kurds a commitment that we'd stay for the next 400 years to protect them."
