In his opening statement to the House Financial Services committee, Zuckerberg admitted that he wasn’t sure that his proposed libra cryptocurrency would work. “But I believe that it's important to try new things,” Zuckerberg said, testifying that the system would give more than a billion people without mobile phones access to a bank account.
